Using this Procedure Site

This procedure site has been structured around the teams/services in the Local Authority.

The site also contains direct links to two mini-sites. These are The Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Both are available from the main homepage.

This procedure site will be updated on a regular basis and a summary of any changes made will be available via the 'Amendments' button on the navigation bar.

If you would like to suggest a change to a procedure or to the site you should discuss this with your line manager in the first instance.

Please note: When changes are made to either the Care Act 2014 or the Mental Capacity Act 2005 mini sites these changes will be found in the 'Amendments' area on their respective homepages.

Please note: The amendments and updates guidance above does not apply to local resources.

The procedure site has been designed so that it is quick and easy to navigate.

To find a procedure you can:

  1. Access it using the 'Contents' list; or
  2. Access it using the search facility.

To navigate a procedure you can:

  1. Scroll through the procedure; or
  2. Click on the subheading you require from the sidebar contents list.

To return to the top of a procedure you can use the large up arrow found in the bottom right hand side of each procedure.

To return to a previous page you can use the back arrow.

To return to the main site homepage you can use the 'Home' button on the navigation bar.

This procedures site contains a local resource section which can be accessed via the navigation bar or Local Resources button. This is an electronic documents library that is populated and maintained locally.

The library is structured around key headings. Clicking on the heading will reveal the list of relevant documents available. Clicking on the document will enable access to it.

If there is a local resource that you think should be added talk to your line manager or the person at the Local Authority with designated responsibility for the procedures site.

Please note: It is the responsibility of the Local Authority to advise users of any changes to documents held within the local resource section.
